How to choose a venue right for You

When assisting my clients and couples in choosing the venue for their event, there are some considerations that need to be made before the hunting begins... These are to save you Time and Tears... CC's Tips1. Do you have your budget? Do you know how much you are willing to spend? Super important to know what you are willing to spend for your whole event, but to have an allocated funds set for the venue is a must before starting your shopping. This is where when I am starting my search for my clients I know where to look becuase I know that they have 30-33% of their budget set to venue/catering.. Know your money...2. Do you know your estimated guest count? Minimum to maximum guest count. Guest count matters and here is why some venues base their pricing on your guest count, especially if their pricing is based on food costs as well. When booking your venue book at your minimum guest count. You can always add on guests but never take away after the contract is signed and deposit is given.. Also you need to know the venues maximum seating capacity to accomodate your guests, dance floor and any other things you may want to have at the event.3. What is your style, theme or vision look like for the event you are holding? Do you want a barn, ranch, european look, modern, contemporary, vintage style venue, outodoors, a lake or a beach or even a conference center that is a blank canvas to bring in your style? Just consider which direcetion you want to go before you begin the search...4. Are you looking for a venue that offers in house catering and bar services? The presence of an in-house cater has its good points and not so good pionts sometimes. Here is the upside: It saves you trouble for hunting for a cater yourself and ensures that everything needed to feed your guests, from stoves to table linens will be on the premises. The potential downside: Rather than being able to be to select a cater of your won choosing, you're stuck with that caterer's offerings, for better or worse-so be sure to taste the menu before you commit.Happy Hunting Everyone
