To Entertainment or Not To Entertainment what is the answer???
Now that is a question you have to consider when planning a special event. So many factorsgo into that question and are dependent upon your event. So let’s review questions that can help you along with your decision process.The process to choosing an entertainer is it music you are looking for? Do you want a live band? What type of band, style, musicality and genre? How many breaks will they take during your event? What will happen if they take a break, how will they handle that down time? Are they will to make announcements and assist in making your event look seem less? How much do they cost and do they have a time limit? Are they well known and have reviews from past clients and events? Are they within your budget or will they negotiate with you?Have you considered a DJ or a Disc Jockey? Will they fit your event? Will they give you the versatility? Does the DJ take breaks and how will they handle the down time of the breaks? How will the DJ handle and or entertain your guests? Do they have a good reputation? How many events have they done (how many years in business?)? Are they within your budget and what is included in their price? Do they offer a GOBO light (your names or company name projected on wall, ceiling or dance floor), up lighting, dance lighting, video montage? Are they capable of being the Master of Ceremony if you need them to be?
Lastly when you meet with your entertainment, ensure they carry professional liability insurance to cover anything that they may do, break etc…. And finally and most importantly , that there is a personality match with you.
